Skin issues
Skin imperfections can take many forms. Age spots, freckles, rosacea, and vascular lesions are very common and typically caused by too much exposure to the sun. Don’t worry, you don’t have to give up your beach days. IPL will fade sun spots, remove fine lines, and unwanted marks so you feel more confident.
Lumecca treatment
Do spots and sun damage keep you from feeling your best? Fortunately, there’s treatment. Lumecca is a state-of-the-art intense pulsed light (IPL) treatment. It reduces redness, minimizes facial veins, and improves the condition of pigmented lesions.
During this treatment, IPL energy goes down into the skin’s deepest layers. This forces the targeted cells and tissues to break down. Once these cells are damaged the body eliminates them over time and healthy new cells regenerate. This process creates smooth, even-toned skin.
You can opt to have this procedure on your face, neck, chest, hands, and more. It all depends on where you’d like to see change.
Lumecca treatment is pain-free. Some patients compare it to a warm facial massage. You might feel slight discomfort in spots with pigmentation issues. But the pain should be manageable. Redness and a slight warming of the skin during the first hour after treatment are also normal and won’t last long.
One to two days post procedure you’ll notice darkening of pigmented spots. A week or so later these lesions will flake off to reveal smoother skin.
During our initial consultation, we’ll examine your skin type. This will show us the severity of your problem. Then, we’ll develop a personalized protocol and determine your appropriate number of treatments. Many people notice significant improvement after just one session, but some need multiple sessions. It all depends on your skin.
